Mold Remediation
Before the existence of MoldExterm, the only way to control an infestation of mold was to take drastic measures.

Traditional Mold Remediation is a system of drastic measures. It is the process of Containment, Personal Protection, Removal, Cleaning, Decontamination and Disposal of all the construction materials and mechanical systems pertaining to a structure that is affected by mold. Because they don't have a reliable method of killing the mold, they focus on physically removing it. If you are familiar with Asbestos Removal, you can begin to appreciate what is involved with Mold Remediation. The majority of the affected surfaces (sheet rock, carpets, furniture, personal affects and belongings) are ripped out and disposed of. Because spores can become airborn or be tracked into other unaffected areas, extensive containment systems and negative pressure must be employed.
The very existence of Traditional Mold Remediation is a testament to the challenge that mold infestation presented before MoldExterm. Unfortunately, Traditional Mold Remediation has many drawbacks including:
- High Expense (extensive tear out and restoration)
- Many personal belongings are lost
- Residents can be displaced for long periods of time
- Attics are cleaned with a process similar to sand blasting which create other damage and frustrating, long-term problems
- Remediation frequently concentrates on symptoms (mold removal) without dealing with the source of mold growth (humidity)
MoldExterm
MoldExterm is the answer to all of those issues and more. It is a comprehensive surface treatment that kills and cleans the mold that is present now. It also has built in moisture intellegence that can reactivate its proprietary control properties later. And the implementation of professional humidity control takes away the context that created the mold infestation to begin with.
It has many advantages including:
- Far Less Expensive. Tear out (if any) is limited to materials that are destroyed by water. All other surfaces (including porous materials) that can be cleaned or restored can remain in place
- Most personal belongings can be saved
- Residents are usually not displaced at all
- Treatment Process is Completely Non-Destructive
- Mold Exterm is a Permanent Solution
